Book Description

Level two I Can Read Bible stories based on the Adventure Bible-the #1 Bible for kids.

In this level 2 I Can Read, written in the tradition of the popular Adventure Bible, young readers will learn the story of the Good Samaritan.

During Jesus’ time Jewish people and the Samaritans were enemies-they would never have considered helping one another. So what happens when a Jewish man is robbed and left on the side of the road to die? Who stops to help? Read as Jesus tells a remarkable story about a man who serves his neighbor as God would want. Perfect for beginning readers ages 4?8, learning Bible stories on their own.

Reading the bible and understanding it can be hard for kids so that is why I really love the I Can Read Adventure Bible books by Zonderkidz. They take stories from the bible, illustrated with colorful inviting pictures that teach meaningful lessons to my children. My son loves reading to his sister and I love knowing that they are futering their knowledge of Jesus and the Bible through these books. The Good Samaritan tells a story about a man that lay on the side of the road robbed and beaten. 3 men walked by him but only the last stopped to help, a Samaritan. He forgot the Jews and Samaritans didn’t like each other and stopped to help the man. It teaches them to love and treat one another as you do the Lord and yourself. Great words to remember especially in times like this.

Luke 10:27

He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself.”
