Daddy’s Girl ~ Book Review + Giveaway

Daddy's Girl

My daughter is definitely my mini me but she is also daddy’s girl. She can wrap daddy right around her little finger when she wants to. There is just this special bond that can’t be broken and it warms my heart when I see them together.

About Daddy’s Girl

WorthyKids/Ideals Honors Father’s Day with Picture Book

about a Fabulous Daddy-Daughter Tea Party

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) In a time when fathers are becoming more engaged in their children’s lives, books that reflect involved fatherhood are needed more than ever. This spring, WorthyKids/Ideals will publish a picture book about a girl, a tea party, and a father who joyfully participates in his daughter’s interests, even when those interests are pink and sparkly. Full of doilies and boas, Daddy’s Girl follows a spunky girl as she lovingly prepares a tea party for the guest of honor—her dad.

Daddy’s Girl (April 4, 2017; ISBN 9780824956813; $15.99; 32 pp) begins with the bubbly host setting up for a fabulous tea party: she plates cookies, perfects table placements, and puts on sparkly jewelry. Excitement builds as the little girl hangs a special sign on a chair and hears a knock at the door. When her father, the mystery guest of honor, walks in, his daughter decorates him with fancy tea-party attire, and he joins in the fun. The story closes with a sweet hug and the conclusion that tea is best with Dad.

With a trim size of 9 x 9 inches and a shimmering, pearlized jacket, Daddy’s Girl is a gift-sized picture book that radiates with the vibrant colors and endearing art of Estelle Corke. The book’s playful, rhyming text conveys the exuberance of the young narrator in great read-aloud fashion. Perfect for Father’s Day presents and every day in between, Daddy’s Girl is a loving tribute to father-daughter relationships.

Daddy's Girl Review

My daughter absolutely loved daddy reading her this book. She sat on the bed and cuddled with him and listened to him read her this book that she felt was just like her and her daddy. This sweet little girl prepares a tea party that includes a special guest…her daddy! The party was full of fun, dresses, crowns and lots of love. The book not only shows the love she has for her daddy but also the special love her daddy has for her.

I peaked in to snap a pic while he was reading and seen the way she looked at him while he was reading to her and it just melted my heart. ♥
